Respect

I firmly believe art can only be created by humans. I will never use GenAI to edit your work.

Writing is inherently personal and receiving feedback on your writing can feel vulnerable. My goal is always to offer helpful feedback without being critical. While editing might not be the most comfortable process, you should always feel respected!


Joy

Writing a book is hard, and querying can feel soul crushing. At Story Wrangler, we want to add as much joy to the process as possible. Wherever you are in the publishing process, I want to be your personal cheerleader.

Genres

I am open to most genres. I love stories with a strong emotional throughline and immersive worldbuilding, whether that world is a different planet or a Small Town, USA.

The genres I read and love are:

Meet Katherine

I hold the ACES Certificate in Copyediting from Poynter Institute and completed the Editor in Book Publishing course through ELVTR, taught by Julia Wallace, Executive Managing Editor/Copy Chief at Penguin Random House. I’ve also completed coursework in developmental editing from ClubEd, and am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association.

I live in Texas (for now) with my husband and two daughters. When I’m not wrangling kids or reading, I like to peruse antique stores, spend time outside (when it’s not blazing hot), and start new crafts.
